Responding to God’s love
The Vineyard Movement has long been recognized as a huge influence in modern worship music, but the best definitions of worship go beyond music and apply to our whole lives. When we worship God, we recognize God’s worth, we respond to God’s love for us, and we seek to put God first. When we put God first in our lives, it is good for us and good for the world
Every culture on the face of the earth makes music and sings, so music is great way we all can participate in expressing worship together. Our multiple worship teams are made up of people from our own church community. Week to week, these teams serve by using different instruments and styles to lead us as we join together to experience God’s love and to express our love to God in return. Over and over again, we find that God meets us as we sing.
Many worship songs have been birthed from River Heights Vineyard, and some of these songs have reached beyond our church body. Some examples include worship pastor Justin Law’s recording “Wait for the Dawn,” as well as a number of songs on national Vineyard Worship releases written, co-written, or sung by worship leaders connected to our RHV worship arts community:
